DIY: SMOOTHIES

MY THREE FAVORITE & EASY DIY SMOOTHIES | #2 WILL HAVE YOU ADDICTED!

Getting pumped up is your job, but I have refreshment ideas to get you started. Put down those junk snacks you are putting in your mouth. The point is, it’s time to get rid of that winter fat and into your summer flex! I’ve put together a list of three easy-to-make smoothies I have been making for a while & you can create at home.

#1 | Pineapple Cucumber de Thick

What you will need:

Half a ripe cucumber (slice it up, cutting the ends off first).

Ice cubes for thickness

2 cups of frozen pineapple

1 cup of yogurt

1 cup of coconut milk

1 cup of frozen banana

A few drops of lime

1 cup of kale

Fat-free whipped cream

The get down:

You’ll have enough for 2 or 3 servings. This smoothie is a little thick. But, it is so good!

Blend your cucumber first. Slowly add the pineapple. You may decide you want more of a cucumber taste than pineapple, so use your discretion here.

Add in your lime and kale, then banana. Pour in the coconut milk and a glob of yogurt.

Your bananas may have melted a bit, so throw in the ice cubes until you get the right consistency. Consistency is key!!

Add whip and serve!

#2 | Mean Green

(My All-Time Fave)

What you will need:

2 cups of spinach

1 cup of kale

2 cups of water

1 cup of yogurt

1 cup of frozen mango

1 cup of frozen pineapple

A kiwi

2 bananas

Grapes and/or blueberries are optional

The mixdown:

Blend all greens with 2 cups of a liquid base - you can use water, coconut milk, almond milk, or yogurt, depending on your taste.

Stay away from Soy though. Soy is full of estrogen and can even damage your thyroid.

Once you have a desirable consistency, throw in fruits, adding the frozen fruits last & serve!

#3 | Man-Berry Smoothie

What you will need:

1 tablespoon of flaxseed

1 tablespoon of almonds

1 cup of spinach

1 cup of kale

2 cups of frozen strawberries

1 cup of frozen blueberries

1 cup of frozen raspberries

1 banana

2 scoops of vanilla protein powder

1 cup of yogurt (honey or lime will be savage)

Ice cubes

Time to get nutty:

Crush the nuts beforehand in a plastic zip lock bag. You don’t want to ruin your blades if you do this wrong.

Throw in the veggies, banana, and flaxseed. Slowly add the yogurt and nuts.

Now, the berries – one cup at a time. Slowly add ice cubes for consistency.
